About Peek
What you don’t see is our craft.
Peek BV is a family business in Vught, now in its third generation. Since 1949 we have been Krantz’s representative. We supply air distribution components, and the knowledge to apply them well.
Krantz’s representative
Two divisions, one point of contact.
- Krantz Components · the Netherlands
- Krantz Filter- und Absperrsysteme · Nederland
Krantz Components makes the air distribution components: swirl, induction and displacement outlets, nozzles and chilled ceilings. Krantz Filter- und Absperrsysteme makes the filter and shut-off systems for high containment: BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratories, and nuclear power stations. For both, we are the point of contact, from first question to delivery.
We also supply the venturi control valves from Antec.
This site belongs to Peek, not to Krantz. Krantz develops and makes the components; Peek advises on, selects and supplies them.
Why knowledge of air
An outlet is only the beginning.
You can buy an outlet anywhere. What doesn’t come in the box is the knowledge to apply it well: which principle suits the space, how high it may hang, how large the temperature difference may be, and where draught begins. That is what we have worked on since 1949, with theatres and concert venues as our oldest speciality.
Working with us is more than doing business with a box-shifter. That is how our old website put it, and it is still how we work.
What you don’t see is designed.
How we work
From question to delivery.
- Thinking through the principle. Mixing or displacement; ceiling, wall, floor or step: we start with the space.
- Selection. Type, size, number and setting, based on your data and the design rules in the Krantz datasheets and TB 69.
- Documents. Datasheets, Dutch specification texts and CAD or BIM files →
- Liaison with Krantz. For custom work, special versions or STEP and IFC models, we deal directly with Krantz in Aachen.
- Supply. From quotation to delivery on site.
Research for special projects
Sometimes you want to know in advance that a concept will work, to avoid complaints about draught or noise. The project can then be studied at the Krantz research centre: with climate chambers, water models, tracer gas, scale models, climate façades and CFD simulations, and with full-scale or thermographic testing. On-site investigations are also possible. Would you like a test set up? Get in touch.
The story
From textile machinery in 1949 to BSL-4: Dirk, Peter and Ruud Peek. Peter brought the swirl diffuser to the Netherlands, when consultants still called the round diffusers “otherworldly cartwheels”.
